Pernell Smith, the founder and owner of Legacy Home Improvement Group, has a remarkable journey that spans from humble beginnings on a farm in Glennville, Georgia, to leading a successful home improvement company. His dedication to serving others and his unwavering commitment to excellence have shaped the values of our company.
Pernell Smith’s journey from a farm in Glennville, Georgia, to the helm of Legacy Home Improvement Group is a testament to his unwavering faith and determination. Growing up as the youngest of 13 children, Pernell’s early experiences shaped his outlook on life and instilled in him a sense of purpose.
The company’s foundation was laid early in Pernell’s life. Inspired by a traveling salesman he encountered during a band trip, Pernell’s entrepreneurial spirit was ignited. After serving in the Navy and traveling the world, Pernell transitioned to a career in sales, where he honed his persuasive communication skills.
In 2000, a pivotal moment led Pernell and his wife, Patricia, to follow their calling to work with youth and start a school in their hometown of Glennville. Despite facing challenges and setbacks, including being fired from his job, Pernell remained steadfast in his belief that he was meant to do more.
In 2017, Pernell’s spiritual journey culminated in the establishment of Grace Place Ministry, where he serves as pastor alongside his wife, who runs Grace Academy. Alongside his ministry, Pernell pursued a career in home improvement, rising through the ranks to become a district sales manager. In 2018, Pernell founded Legacy Home Improvement Group, driven by a commitment to deliver quality products and exceptional service to customers. With a focus on trust, integrity, and relationships, Legacy Home Improvement Group has become more than just a business—it’s a family legacy built on a foundation of faith and service.
